Bilin Translate: document translation with free models
Bilin Translate, also known as 比邻翻译, is an online document translation tool at bilintranslate.com. It supports PDF, DOCX and DOC files, with source and translation previews and downloadable results for research papers, manuals and business reports.
Official website: bilintranslate.com
Which files are supported?
Document translation accepts PDF, DOCX and DOC files. PDFs need readable text; older DOC files are converted to DOCX first. Damaged, encrypted or unusually structured documents may need repair, an authorized unlocked copy, or conversion to DOCX before translation.
Can I keep the layout and download bilingual files?
Translation aims to retain the document structure and provides a preview of the source and translation together. When a job finishes, download the translated or bilingual files actually generated for it. Word results can be downloaded as editable DOCX files. Translation length can change line wrapping, table height and pagination, so check the downloaded file.
How does free use work?
Guests can start without registering. Models marked free consume no translation credits and have no daily platform credit limit. Other models use the allowance shown in the interface. Free access does not mean that every model costs zero credits, or that file size and concurrency are unlimited. Check the upload area and free-use information for current models and rules.
What about scanned PDFs and text inside images?
Image translation can use OCR to recognize and translate text inside an image. This is different from directly translating an entire scanned PDF with OCR. A PDF containing only scans needs a readable text layer first, or you can export the relevant pages as images and use image translation. Text inside images embedded in Word or PDF files may not be included in ordinary document translation.
What are the file size and concurrency limits?
File size, simultaneous jobs, available models and download options depend on the current interface and the results of each job. Large files, complex layouts and busy services may take longer. Keep your original and download completed results promptly.
When to use Bilin Translate
Research papers
Understand the abstract, discussion and conclusions, then check terminology, equations and references against the source.
Product manuals
Read equipment and product instructions while checking model numbers, units, operating steps and warnings.
Business reports
Read customer documents, project reports and industry analysis, then verify numbers, names and tables.
Machine translation and OCR can make mistakes. Check important content against the source. Arrange certified translation or professional review separately when needed.
